The atmosphere at the centre is very friendly and family-like. The children only speak English. My daughter loves going to London Gates and comes back not tired but full of energy. The teachers organise class parties for the children to immerse them in a themed atmosphere.

Today was our first day at London Gates and we had our first lesson. Before that we had some intensive English lessons, but most of the time my son:

1. hated English lessons and the teacher.
2. refused to speak at all.

He left London Gates saying: "This is a great school, I’m ready to come here every day". He excitedly told us what he was doing in class and showed us his textbooks. And at the dinner table he began to say: "Give me water, please. Give me a sandwich, please. We’re in the kitchen now. Mom’s cooking dinner."
Of course, he had known these phrases for a long time. But hearing him say them, and hearing him say them with pleasure, made all the difference in the world.

We only joined London Gates a year ago. But we really hope this is just the beginning.

My daughter Maya was pleasantly surprised to find that at London Gates the children and teachers communicate in a completely different way to what she’s used to at school. Maya was shocked that everyone smiled at each other, that the teachers were not restrictive and allowed the children to express their views. London Gates has been a breath of fresh air for her. Maya has become more relaxed and confident. On top of that, studying at London Gates turned out to be interesting!

London Gates has something that is hard to find in many other preschools and schools — respect for the child’s individuality. The staff value and cherish childhood and do not see it as just a stepping stone to adulthood, recognizing it as a unique life stage. There is a great deal of care, empathy and support.

The lessons at London Gates are not just interesting, although I must admit that I sometimes envy my daughter for being able to study here. They instil a real love of learning and an understanding of why something needs to be learned in the first place. And they do it in a way that children can understand — through play, with empathy and care that children can actually feel.

London Gates provides a space for children to embrace their individuality and develop comfortably and effectively.

A friend of mine took her daughter to London Gates and she recommended giving it a try. When I took my son to the first clasas, I was very worried: what if he got scared (he was only 4 years old)? But after the first lesson (it was short, just 25 minutes) I realised that there was nothing to worry about. Then my son spent the whole evening talking about what they did, who he met, and what they played in class. Yes, yes, they played, because at London Gates children learn through play.

At first I didn’t understand how it was possible to explain the grammar of a foreign language to such young children in such a way that they would remember it. It turned out that one day is "Russian" (that is, the subjects are taught in Russian), the next day is "English" (the same content is taught in English).

I decided not to look for more clubs for my son: at Lomdom Gates he has music, developmental education, study skills, basic maths and art.
